A dark field microscope is ideal for viewing objects that are unstained, transparent and absorb little or no light. These specimens often have similar refractive indices as their surroundings, making them hard to distinguish with other illumination techniques. You can use dark field to study marine organisms such as algae, plankton, diatoms, insects, fibers, hairs, yeast and protozoa as well as some minerals and crystals, thi polymers and some ceramics. You can also use dark field in the research of live bacterium, as well as mounted cells and tissues. It is more useful in examining external details, such as outlines, edges, grain boundaries and surface defects than internal structure.

STAGE

 

• 156 x 138 mm ceramic stage with integrated 76 x 54 mm mechanical stage protects with a very tough ceramic surface, against marks and scratches.The surface also ensures stray light not to be reflected from the stage into the objective

• 185 x 177 mm rackless stage equipped with double slide holder and integrated 75 x 50 mm rackless mechanical stage. It has no protruding parts, enabling more smooth movements and is safer (Optional)

 

CONDENSER FOR DARK FIELD

 

Dark field condenser is based on an Abbe, aplanatic, or achromatic condenser, but to the light path add a dark field stop. This additional element is housed in various ways.


• Dark field condensr (dry) usually for 40-600X manification.
• Dark field condensr (oil), if you want to observe 600X and more, this condenser is necessary.

 

 

FOCUSING


• Coaxial coarse and fine adjustments, 100 graduations, 1 μm per graduation, 100 μm per rotation, total travel approximately 14 mm.(most to 25mm)
• Supplied with an adjustable rack stop to prevent damage to sample and objectives.
• The coarse adjustments are equipped with friction control

 

ILLUMINATION


• 3 W adjustable LED illumination with internal 100-240 V power supply
• The innovative design offer larger apertures, allowing the optical system of the microscope to produce images at higher resolutions,
very close to the theoretical diffraction limit of the optics.
Other benefits of the NeoLED is the low energy consumption, no heating and a long operating lifetime
• The illumination on models with IOS plan and plan phase infinity corrected system provides high contrast and a maximum achievable resolving
